On this final collaboration with vocalist Viktoria Rolandsdotter, Beckahesten presents seven tales told around a blazing fire, with something ghastly always lurking in the surrounding darkness.
The album carries us across meadows and through forests, where distant calls and tribal drums echo. Ring-dance rhythms and desperate flight from ill-willed beings unfold over sparse strings and sombre drones, sustaining a sense of constant trepidation.
At the shore, a ship arrives bearing unwelcome cargo. It follows, it finds, and leads everyone in the village down into the valley of the dead.

Vinyl Edition of 250 copies on Black vinyl. Printed Inner sleeve, matte varnish. 7 Tracks. Running Time 37:47
