Z'EV
"Sum Things" CD
(csr101CD) Cold Spring
Through an element darkly… In the fall of 2005 Z’EV began
dipping deep into his archives and selecting recordings to produce
‘sum things / a possible form for cold dark matter’, a
project reflecting his take on the ‘dark ambience’ genre.
Composed between December 2005 and March 2006, these 6 pieces endeavour
to transport the listener deep into their long forgotten memories
of the primal forces at the dawn of creation. Each piece is based
on a single sound source. Absolutely no effects of any kind, not even
equalization, were applied to the source recordings. Instead Z’EV
relied solely on the stretching of the duration and pitch of the samples
and then edited and mixed the results down into the heart of space.
Hear then, the state of the art in elemental musics. Not to forget
the beautiful packaging by artist Abby Helasdottir.

ZOAT-AON
"The Triplex Bestial" CD
(AH07) Aural Hypnox
By the careful adjustment and manipulation of both modern and archaic
mediums is created a highly dynamic work of aural alchemy depicting
the trance and dream of a carnal totem standing between Heaven and
Earth, where the unearthly sound of starlight's serpentine arteries
winding together with the blackened branches above mingles with the
oneiric hisses and crackles of necromantic phantoms and slithering
roots below. A barbarous, sonic paradox suggesting the subtle arousal
of the ancestry in flesh, a work both soothing and threatening to
the intuitive mind. (total time: 61:05)
Comes in an oversized 4 panel cardboard covers. Limited to 1000 copies.

to melodic synths or total electronic noise.

ZWEIZZ
"The Yawn Of The New Age" CD
(vend018) Vendlus Records
full of the battiness of Norwegian techno and the fuck-you of black
metal. (Terrorizer)
Zweizz is the solo project of Svein Egil Hatlevik, known from innovative
Norwegian extreme metal acts such as DHG (Dødheimsgard) and
Fleurety.
On “The Yawn of the New Age ” Hatlevik takes another step
from the groundbreaking work done with his Debut 7? which disgusted
and pissed off most, while catering to the sense of those who understand
what true extreme music is about.
SEH contiunes what he started In his other bands, uncompromisingly
mixing elements of old and new school black metal, left wing electronics
and computer noise. Fans of Hatleviks former work will find an intriguing
insight into a bizarre world of music which is purely his own.
