GEISTFORM
"Pro Analogic" CD
(handsd123) Hands
Spanish sonic-master Rafael M. Espinosa strikes back with a 3rd full
length of his brainchild. The analogue compositions are like making
a bridge in between industrial and trance music. The hard banging
industrial components are marvelously assimilated with trance components.
Repetitive sequences are leading you in state of total devotion. Geistform
sounds hard, but is definitely more accessible than the average industrial
project. Geistform is a project that remained totally faithful to
the good-old analogue gear and that's probably what makes the difference
with the other laptop projects choosing for software programs. This
albums belongs to the top-releases on Hands!

GENERIC
"Torture" CD
(fs0208cd) Fractured Sapces
Generic's "Torture" isa long and deeply unsettling journey
into the beating black heart, and Antarctic iciness of the collective
shattered psyche, of a shattered mankind. Created using "foley
tracks" and sound effects (used for both film and television),
as well as the occasional guitars, bass, and found sounds, it all
combines to produce a haunting, nerve-shredding, ghostly and schizophrenic
soundtrack, guaranteed to simultaneously freeze the heart and mind,
and induce cold sweat to bead the forehead and shivers to wrack the
body. Six mid to long tracks of bleak mindscapes totalling just over
50 minutes and wrapped in beautiful full colour digipak with artwork
by new German digital artist THAMUS.

GLOBAL
SYSTEMS SILENTLY MOVING "Altering The Air" CD
(cd200614) Silentes
Quiet, flowing, rivers of murky low-fi atmospheric haze, with deep,
distant, sub-bass pulses that seem to come from underground. Waves
of shortwave noise roll up to the listeners feet like water on the
shore. Introspective movements to get lost in. Repetitious, hypnotic
sequences transmitted from an ethereal universe. All-pervading, and
infinitely elastic. Widescreen glimpses into seven perpetually moving
soundscapes that have no beginnings or ends. Epic patterns... rolling
until the end of time. Lost souls wandering in a dense audio-fog.
These are archival analog recordings made in Detroit (1996), and seem
to be somehow affiliated with the 'deepchord brotherhood' (recorded
by/produced by DC), however... the actual artist here is not completely
clear.
