FILIUS
MACROCOSMI "Stalker" CD
(omscd02)
Oms Records
"Stalker is an elaborate puzzle. Its pieces are always scattered,
and Filivs Macrocosmi relies on his listener to bring the final element
of the puzzle along with him. One of Stalker's many treats is that
it invites you to get carried away into your own thoughts, flowing
with the images as it provides new questions to ponder... In that
sense, the album is very much like a philosophical poem: a very simple
surface covering innumerable layers of meaning. One extremely long
ride in a cart, with clunking metal and water-whooshing sounds, is
fascinating and hypnotic. FM downplayed the science fiction aspects
of the movie, making the album more about philosophical and spiritual
concerns leaving us at the threshold of the Room where all our most
cherished desires come true. Welcome to your Self, an alien place
guarded by barbed wire..." CD comes in 3-panel foldoutsleeve.
Limited to 500 copies.

FIRE
IN THE HEAD "As The World Burns" CD
(omscd01) Oms Records
As The Nest Burns” is an album about the darkest depths of psychosis,
about the delusions and actions over which one has no control when
entrenched in a manic state and the nightmares from which some never
awaken. It is an album born in the blackest of times, to be listened
to in the blackest of times. With this recording F/I/T/H experiments
with new arsenal of sounds and techniques adding a heavily psychedelic
edge to his mix of noise/power electronics/drone. These are the straight-jacketed
screams from the bowels of a mental institution.

HUMAN FERRO "Corona Astralis" CD
(omscd01) Oms Records
"Corona Astralis" is a consequential follow-up to the 2000
"Motherwards" CD and in the long run fundamentally represents
development of the project, carefully combining early 1998-2001 death
ambient/industrial experiments with recent ever generating solid electroacoustics,
harsh electronica and dronesque synth multistructures, all to be ultimately
finallized as integral one of the world in a grain of sand...

FIRST
LAW "Terrorforming" CD
(LOKI49) Loki Foundation
The 6th full-length album of First Law sets real moments of artificial
and creative substance. Intermittent bass and percussive elements
as well as thrilling sound structures arrange a wide aural spectrum
from ambient to drones through analogue modulations to complex compositions
with outstanding vocals on top. Thematically, this album is not about
religious airheads getting their way. This is not about the threat
terrorist attacks impose on any of us, nor has it the intention to
proliferate violence as a viable way to change the status quo. At
the least, as long your opinion stands against the opinion of the
majority, you are pretty much out of luck. No, this album is about
leverage; it is about deception and opportunity, by accident or by
design; it is about resignation and self-delusion; but most of all,
this album is about fear.

FIRST
LAW "Chaos Structure" CD
(LOKI43) Loki Foundation
The 5th full-length album from First Law surprises once again with
a huge amount of stylistic variety and proof that he is the ultimate
cosmonaut of the inner spheres... "Chaos Structure" is an
hallucinogenic maelstrom, every note and sound telling a different
story taking the listener on a journey through unseen areas of modulation
and alienated reality. All compositions are cautiously built to create
a majestic flowing soundworld full of structures and outstanding melodies
layered with percussion and rhythm.

LAW "Beyond IO" CD
(LOKI37) Loki Foundation
This is the first full lenght album of this German project. Violent::Sedated
circles from the periphery, blending tonally oblique elements into
a sonic cauldron that continually boils over with contextually bizarre
rhythms and sounds. First Laws subtle frequency pulsations, multi-layered
effects and percussions creating a psycho-electronic journey into
paranormal, intoxicating and gliding dimensions. A sonic mandate that
really brings out the hidden textures buried within.

LAW "Refusal As Attitude" CD
(LOKI31) Loki Foundation
With the third CD First Law presents once again an outstanding sound
journey into the Inner Cinema. Soundstructures of unusual beauty and
depth are enriched with psychedelic effects and precise rhythms to
unfold an atmosphere in that the spatial concept of the CD creates
its effect. Multilayered fragments of speech are connected with sound
and the infinite analog modulations and reaches levels, which lie
expressed deeply embodied in the listeners. “Refusal As Attitude”
commences where the black-silver shivering of “Velochrome”
ended and convinces by his self-contained compact, which holds an
infinite variation of interpretations. „If you think this universe
is bad, you should have seen the others.”

FJERNLYS
"Ascending Triads And Luminous Arcs" 2CD
(LOKI42) Loki Foundation
Behind this project hides one of Inade's masterminds - Knut Enderlein.
On this first disc, the songs layer cosmic and synthetic sounds and
go on tracing according to the principle harmony in the music, their
acoustic space feeling very expansive. The voices creep crosswise
into sounds and effects to lunar spheres and solar places. The five
remixes and interpretations of ANTLERS MULM, BAD SECTOR, FIRST LAW
and LOVESPELL on the second disc support the complex character of
the whole release and expand the into a new style of Ambient songs.
More 'song' based than Inade, Fjernlys reminds of fellow Loki act
Predominance. Presented in a double jewel case with a very nice slipcase
to finish.

FLINT
GLASS / TELEPHERIC "Information Gigabyte" CD
(a.r.05.05) Angle.Rec
TELEPHERIQUE’s Klaus Jochim and FLINT
GLASS’ Gwenn Tremorin have joined forces for this collaborative
album, which is indeed a concept album about information overload,
the speed at which technological changes occur and the negative effects
of this information overload on our psychological state. Both artists
have sampled and gathered a great deal of sounds taken from computers
or conferences on the topic, in a totally digital way from the FLINT
GLASS perspective, and in an analogic/old-school fashion from the
TELEPHERIQUE perspective. The idea was to confront the technological
evolution with itself in the composition process, in a chronological
way, by imagining the evolution from 1980 or so, up until now. You
can then expect a pleasing and surprising ‘shock’ between
FLINT GLASS’ trademark distorted idm-ish beats, intertwined
with sinister and expansive atmospheres, and TELEPHERIQUE’s
dirty soundscapes and machinesque old-school and sometimes or often
lo-fi drifts for which they have been renowned since 1989. Let aural
information flood you!

FOLKSTORM
"Orthodox" CD
(oecd126) Old Europa Cafe
Screaming vocals, harsh analogue filter sweeps,
pulsing distorted sines and squares...
Folkstorm has never sounded this angry and mean. Maybe it is a reflection
of the current state of things - regression, massunemployment and
a corrupt financial system about to implode.
Ortodox is a return to the fine tradition of making music all analogue
- no computers, no sequencers or modern trickery. A pure celebration
of classic Swedish Industrial music, and a protector of values that
are about to be lost.

he was looking for: old recordings from 1997 and 1998, all previously
unreleased ! Now, after more than 10 years, these old recordings see
the the light (?) of day. This is all harsh gritty oldschool Folkstorm,
served up fresh and carefully remastered from the original analogue
tapes. Also included are the four tracks that was intended to be released
as a spilt CD with LHD.

FOUNDATION
HOPE "Tunes For The Wounded" CD
(cmi177) Cold Meat Industry
Tunes for the wounded’ can be considered
a lament. It is a defamatory accusation to the world and it’s
suffering. Foundation hope lodges complaints through gritty ambient-industrial
structures, broken sounds and despairing moods. Always without losing
touch with the beautiful and melodic. Always with that tiny bright
spark of hope, overshadowed by doubt and cynicism. This successor
to ‘The faded reveries’ is a little more harsh. Incorporated
are distorted guitar drones, tape-decks, broken strings and noisy
outbursts. Firmly rooted in reality, this is tears dropping slowly,
a herd crawling through mud and blood, and a call to a redeemer who
isn’t there.

HOPE "Our God Is A Consuming Fire" CD
Autarkeia
The latest album by the Dutch project FOUNDATION
HOPE, just like their earlier output, aims to expose the institution
of hope promoted by the Christian religion. The album is characterised
by the transparent but melancholic atmosphere, where each track radiates
with quiet and modest despair. Our God Is a Consuming Fire is of the
high class of ambient that deeply affects human emotions: in short,
this album could be labelled as despair consolidated into sound. Limited
to 500 copies!

CD
(SME0719CD)
Slientes Minimal Editions
After the recent edition in double CD of "Chaotishe
Fraktale Letzte Technologie", Silentes introduces the result
of the new collaboration between Frequency in Cycles for Second (Sandro
Kaiser) and Maurizio Bianchi. Music of great dynamics and great dramatic
mood, powerful " aggressive sounds", drones, sour electronic
rumors, but also deep sounds, more static parts, dark and expanding
atmospheres, dark and buried rhythmic mechanical movements, echoes
of reverberating metal.

A new double cd from Silentes, containing soundworks
by 'Chaotische Fraktale' and 'Letze Technologie'. These works were
sourced from collaborations between M.B./Maurizio Bianchi, and Frequency
in Cycles for Second/Sandro Kaiser. A fascinating sonic mix of influences
here... industrial, electro-experimentation, minimalism, noise, and
deep-listening. Large, drone-based segments meld with the distant
sounds of reverberating piano and soft whispered melodies. Dramatic
and dark. Huge pools of sound, where the listener can float weightlessly
between earthly calm and otherworldly discord.
